Tequila Don Julio 1942 Port of Champions waterfront venue at Chelsea Piers overlooking Manhattan

New York’s waterfront is preparing for a celebration measured in megayachts, match-day energy, and raised glasses.

Tequila Don Julio 1942 Port of Champions will take over Pier 59 at Chelsea Piers from July 13 through July 19, 2026. The week-long experience arrives as the FIFA World Cup 2026™ reaches its final chapter in New York and New Jersey.

At the center of the takeover sits a megayacht stretching more than 200 feet along the Hudson River. However, the experience will reach far beyond the vessel.

Chelsea Piers’ driving range will also become a multidimensional hospitality destination. Together, the spaces will form an ambitious stage for sport, nightlife, food, and global culture.

A Waterfront Built for Finals Week

Port of Champions will welcome athletes, tastemakers, entertainers, and influential voices throughout the week.

Programming will move from daylight into the early morning hours. Guests can expect match-day gatherings, live entertainment, luxury dining, tequila tastings, and performances from renowned DJs.

The yacht will also feature an onboard speakeasy for more intimate tasting experiences. Meanwhile, podcast and content studios will give invited creators a place to capture the cultural electricity surrounding Finals Week.

This is not simply a viewing party with a handsome skyline. It is a carefully constructed world of hospitality anchored beside Manhattan.

“The impact of the FIFA World Cup™ extends far beyond the matches themselves,” said Julian Garcia, vice president of Tequila Don Julio at Diageo North America.

Garcia added that the tournament influences culture, celebration, and communities around the world. With the Final arriving in New York and New Jersey, the brand saw an opportunity to create an experience matching the occasion.

He described Port of Champions as the company’s most ambitious expression of luxury hospitality.

Where Sport and Culture Meet

Major sporting events create their own geography. Stadiums become landmarks, sidewalks become parades, and strangers begin speaking the shared language of the game.

Tequila Don Julio 1942 Port of Champions intends to place itself directly within that landscape. The experience connects the brand’s celebration-focused identity with one of international sport’s most watched moments.

The waterfront takeover also supports the limited-edition Tequila Don Julio 1942 FIFA World Cup 2026™ Edition bottle. The commemorative release is now available nationwide while supplies last.

The yacht docks in Manhattan on Monday, July 13. Programming continues through Sunday, July 19, when the tournament reaches its final whistle.

For one week, Chelsea Piers will become something more than a familiar Manhattan landmark. It will become a port of arrival for a global celebration, glowing beside the Hudson as the world watches.

Please celebrate responsibly.
