Large crowd attending the Stateside Live! grand opening beside the Coors Light Stage in Philadelphia’s South Philadelphia Sports Complex.

Philadelphia knows how to gather.

It gathers in stadium seats, around television screens, beneath concert lights, and over the kind of food that requires extra napkins. Now, the city has another reason to come together.

Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies have officially opened the $20 million Stateside Live! expansion in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The transformation introduces new entertainment venues, hospitality concepts, outdoor gathering spaces, and event capabilities for as many as 9,000 guests.

Located among the home venues of Philadelphia’s four major professional sports teams, Stateside Live! is becoming more than a game-day stop. It is positioning itself as a year-round destination for sports, concerts, nightlife, festivals, community celebrations, and private events.

A New Chapter for the Sports Complex

The grand opening drew executives, city leaders, business representatives, community members, and thousands of visitors.

Dan Hilferty, chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectacor, described the expanded destination as an important part of the Sports Complex’s future. He also connected the project to the recent transformation of Xfinity Mobile Arena.

The investment reflects a larger vision for South Philadelphia. Fans should not have to choose between watching a game, attending a concert, enjoying dinner, or meeting friends for drinks. The new Stateside Live! brings those experiences into one connected district.

Reed Cordish, principal of The Cordish Companies and CEO of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, said the expansion builds upon a commitment made more than 15 years ago. That commitment was to help develop the Sports Complex into one of the nation’s leading sports-centered entertainment districts.

Rooftops, Concerts and Open-Air Energy

The $20 million Stateside Live! expansion introduces several major attractions.

AVA Rooftop Bar brings a two-story, open-air lounge to the center of the plaza. Guests can enjoy stadium district views, cocktails, food, DJs, bottle service, Sunday parties, and evening programming. Its menu includes spicy tuna tacos, lobster rolls, Parmesan herb fries, and braised short-rib sliders.

The new Coors Light Stage can accommodate up to 5,000 people, including 1,000 premium seats. The outdoor venue features advanced sound, lighting, and LED screens. It will host concerts, festivals, community events, and major sports watch parties throughout summer and fall 2026.

PBR Backyard nearly doubles the footprint of PBR Philly. The redesigned country entertainment space adds an outdoor stage, dance floor, and VIP sections.

The Blue Moon Beer Garden provides another open-air option for sports viewing and social gatherings. Nearby, the Stateside Crush Bar serves freshly squeezed cocktails made with several spirit choices.

Philadelphia favorites Chickie’s & Pete’s, Lorenzo’s Pizza, and Geno’s Steaks remain part of the experience. New ordering technology is also designed to reduce waiting times during busy events.

Philadelphia Prepares for a Monumental Summer

The timing of the expansion is no accident.

Philadelphia is preparing to welcome international visitors for the FIFA World Cup 26™, the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, and America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

Lincoln Financial Field will host six World Cup matches. One of those contests will be a Round of 16 match on July 4. Stateside Live! is an official partner of Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and is offering match-day packages for visitors, groups, and businesses.

Citizens Bank Park will then host the MLB All-Star Game festivities from July 11 through July 14.

With those global events arriving within days of each other, the expanded plaza gives Philadelphia a large-scale hospitality hub directly beside the stadiums.

Built for Groups of Every Size

The $20 million Stateside Live! expansion also strengthens the property’s private-event business.

Groups of 25 can reserve intimate spaces, while corporations, conferences, festivals, and major brands can arrange full-venue experiences for up to 9,000 guests. Indoor and outdoor configurations provide flexibility throughout the year.

Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is located nearby, giving multi-day groups access to overnight accommodations within the same entertainment district.

For Philadelphia, this project is about more than building bars and stages. It is about creating a public gathering place that can change with the crowd.

One night may belong to soccer supporters. The next could welcome a concert audience, a corporate reception, or Phillies fans watching the final inning beneath the open sky.

That is the promise of the new Stateside Live!: one plaza, many Philadelphia stories.
