Hornitos Reposado Tequila with Jarritos soda and a citrus tequila cocktail featuring lime and grilled pineapple.

Two Mexican-born brands celebrate 75 years of shared heritage with a simple, flavor-packed tequila-and-soda collaboration made for summer gatherings.

Some summer drinks arrive with an ingredient list long enough to require a clipboard. Hornitos® Tequila and Jarritos® are going in the opposite direction, bringing the season back to basics with a limited-edition collaboration that turns two familiar Mexican favorites into one refreshingly uncomplicated serve.

The new Hornitos x Jarritos Margaritos Flavor Pack pairs Hornitos Reposado Tequila with three of Jarritos’ most recognizable fruit flavors: Lime, Mandarin and Pineapple. The collaboration arrives during National Tequila Month and celebrates an unexpected connection between the two brands: both were born in Mexico in 1950.

Seventy-five years later, they’re finally making it official.

A Margarita’s Easygoing Summer Cousin

The concept behind Margaritos is wonderfully uncomplicated. Pour Hornitos Reposado over ice, add Jarritos and finish the drink for an easy tequila soda-style cocktail.

Hornitos Reposado is made from agave, yeast and water, giving the tequila a relatively straightforward foundation for Jarritos’ vivid fruit flavors.

Lime offers the most obvious margarita-adjacent pairing, while Mandarin brings a bright citrus twist. Pineapple heads somewhere more tropical, making it an especially tempting option for backyard dinners, cookouts and those summer afternoons that mysteriously become evenings.

The partnership embraces what the brands are calling “Get Back to Simple,” a reminder that a memorable drink doesn’t necessarily need ten ingredients, specialty syrups and a degree in cocktail architecture.

“Our partnership with Jarritos is built on a shared belief that great drinks bring people together,” said Rashmi Raine, vice president of Tequila at Suntory Global Spirits, noting that the collaboration was designed around approachable flavors and easy summer entertaining.

75 Years of “Big Itos Energy”

There is another playful layer to the collaboration.

Hornitos translates to “little ovens,” while Jarritos means “little jugs.” That shared linguistic thread inspired the campaign’s “Big Itos Energy” theme, built around the idea that some of life’s biggest memories are created during seemingly small moments with friends and family.

It’s a fitting message for two brands whose histories have crossed the same tables for generations.

Jarritos has grown from its Mexican roots into a fruit-soda favorite available internationally, while Hornitos has built a tequila portfolio ranging from Blanco and Reposado to Añejo and Cristalino expressions.

Putting them together feels less like a flashy brand mash-up and more like someone finally introducing two longtime guests who have been standing at the same party for decades.

Where to Find the Margaritos Pack

The Hornitos x Jarritos Margaritos Variety Pack is available for a suggested retail price of $24.99, with Lime, Mandarin and Pineapple varieties included in the limited-edition release. Availability varies by market, with participating retailers listed through DoorDash.

For summer entertaining, the attraction is easy to understand: recognizable flavors, minimal preparation and plenty of room to pick a favorite.

And somewhere between that first splash of pineapple and the clink of ice in the glass, “getting back to simple” starts sounding like a pretty good summer plan.

Please enjoy responsibly. Hornitos® Tequila is 40% alc./vol.
