Crowd enjoying Coca-Cola programming at ESSENCE Festival of Culture

Coca-Cola 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture programming is bringing a full weekend of music, community, wellness and cultural celebration to New Orleans from July 3–5, 2026. This year, Coca-Cola returns for its 31st consecutive year as a partner of the ESSENCE Festival of Culture®, and the brand is showing up in a big way with performances from Destin Conrad, Coi Leray and Mario.

For so many of us, ESSENCE Festival is not just another summer event. It is a homecoming. It is where Black women, families, creatives, entrepreneurs and culture lovers come together to celebrate who we are, what we build and how we continue to shine. Coca-Cola’s 2026 festival platform, “Every Side Shines,” fits that spirit beautifully.

At the center of the celebration will be the Coca-Cola Stage, where rising R&B favorite Destin Conrad, chart-topping performer Coi Leray and Grammy-nominated R&B artist Mario will headline Coca-Cola’s entertainment lineup. Each artist brings a different energy to the stage. Together, they reflect the range of music, style and expression that makes the ESSENCE Festival of Culture such a powerful cultural moment.

A Festival Experience Built Around Connection

The Coca-Cola 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture experience will bring together Coca-Cola®, Simply® and smartwater® through one connected festival footprint. The programming will focus on music, culture, wellness and community.

One of the featured destinations will be Shine City’s Sisterhood Ave, an immersive space inspired by the neighborhoods, beauty shops, front porches, block parties and gathering places where culture is created every day. Festivalgoers can expect live programming, storytelling, music and moments designed for real connection.

That is what makes this partnership feel meaningful. Coca-Cola is not only bringing performances. The brand is also creating space for conversation, celebration and community pride.

HBCU Pride Takes Center Stage

Coca-Cola will also bring its The World Is My Yard platform to ESSENCE Festival with an HBCU-inspired activation. The experience will feature Eva Marcille and a performance by the World Famed Tiger Marching Band from Grambling State University.

This part of the festival is especially exciting because it highlights the legacy and brilliance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. HBCUs have shaped leaders, artists, educators, business owners, public servants and culture makers for generations.

Throughout the weekend, representatives from 15 HBCUs will host office hours for prospective students and families. These sessions will give attendees direct access to information about admissions, academic programs, campus life and educational opportunities.

That is the kind of access that can open doors. It also gives families a chance to explore future pathways while enjoying one of the biggest cultural celebrations in the country.

Sisterhood, Leadership and Community Impact

Coca-Cola’s programming will also include its ongoing partnership with the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. The partnership will spotlight leadership, economic empowerment and community impact.

Returning hosts Jamila Mustafa and Charles Beloved will help guide audiences through performances, conversations and special moments across Coca-Cola’s festival experience.

Festivalgoers can also look forward to appearances by Ryan Destiny and Normani as part of Coca-Cola’s “If Not For My Girls” programming. This experience will explore friendship, mentorship and the support systems that help shape personal and professional success.

As women, we know those support systems matter. Sometimes one encouraging word, one sister-circle conversation or one trusted mentor can help someone take the next brave step.

Coca-Cola Continues a Longstanding ESSENCE Partnership

Coca-Cola’s long relationship with ESSENCE Festival speaks to the importance of showing up consistently for culture. Now in its 31st year as a festival partner, Coca-Cola continues to support one of the nation’s most influential gatherings.

The festival also has a major impact on New Orleans. In 2025, ESSENCE Festival generated more than $321 million in economic impact, supported 2,436 jobs and created more than $103 million in income for local workers and businesses.

That impact matters. It reminds us that cultural events are also economic engines. They support hotels, restaurants, vendors, artists, drivers, small businesses and local families.

Stephanie Eaddy, Senior Director of Cultural Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company, said ESSENCE Festival has always been more than a cultural moment. She described it as a platform for connection, community and impact. That message comes through clearly in this year’s programming.

The Coca-Cola 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture celebration is shaping up to be one of the weekend’s must-see experiences. From the Coca-Cola Stage to Shine City’s Sisterhood Ave, from HBCU programming to sisterhood conversations, Coca-Cola is creating a space where every side of culture can shine.

For those heading to New Orleans this July, this is one festival footprint to keep on your schedule.
