If New York City had a living room, it might just be Bella Abzug Park this summer.

this isn’t merely a park schedule. It’s a social calendar.

Picture it: sunrise yoga beneath Manhattan’s glass towers, salsa dancing at sunset, vinyl-spun disco grooves floating through the evening air, and movie nights where New Yorkers gather beneath the stars rather than beneath streaming menus. Bella Abzug Park has become the rarest of New York luxuries: a place where community still feels spontaneous.

Stretching from West 33rd Street to West 37th Street between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, the park continues to evolve into one of Manhattan’s most active public gathering spaces. Operated by the Hudson Yards Hell’s Kitchen Alliance, the venue welcomes residents, office workers, tourists, and curious wanderers looking for something authentic in a city that never stops moving.

Wellness Takes Center Stage

This season’s wellness programming feels particularly New York in the best possible way.

Free outdoor yoga classes return every Monday and Wednesday through September, featuring bilingual instruction in English and Spanish through a partnership with Bien Good Well. Saturday mat pilates sessions and Tuesday evening boot camps led by Hell’s Kitchen’s Speakeasy of Strength offer additional opportunities for fitness enthusiasts to break a sweat outdoors.

The result is less gym membership and more urban oasis.

Dance Floors Without Walls

Perhaps the crown jewel of the season is the return of Vinyl Nights, now celebrating its seventh year.

The beloved series transforms the park into an open-air dance party featuring disco, funk, soul, house, Latin music, and classic hip-hop played exclusively on vinyl records. A special Pride Ball-themed edition in June will feature drag performances and expanded programming partnerships.

Meanwhile, beginning June 17, Pa’ La Calle Wednesdays will invite New Yorkers to trade spreadsheets for salsa steps. Hosted alongside Somos Latin Dance, the evenings include beginner lessons followed by social dancing under the Manhattan sky.

Family Fun for Every Generation

Families haven’t been forgotten.

Every Tuesday morning, children can enjoy interactive acoustic sing-alongs hosted by Mike Messer Music. The popular House of SpeakEasy Bookmobile also returns twice monthly, bringing free books and literacy programming to young readers and transforming the park into a temporary open-air library.

Spring Fling Returns

The Colored Colors Spring Fling Arts & Music Festival returns for its sixth year with expanded programming throughout May and June.

What began as a grassroots neighborhood gathering has blossomed into a vibrant celebration featuring local artists, live performances, food experiences, independent vendors, and cultural activations. This year’s Spring Forward edition takes place May 30, June 6, June 13, and June 27-28.

Movies Under the Manhattan Sky

August brings the return of Movies Under the Stars.

This year’s lineup includes beloved classics such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Jaws, National Treasure, and Clueless. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, arrive early, and settle into Adirondack chairs for one of the city’s most relaxed outdoor movie experiences.

More Than a Park

Named after legendary congresswoman and activist Bella Abzug, the park embodies her spirit of public engagement and accessibility.

In a city where entertainment often comes with a premium price tag, Bella Abzug Park continues to prove that some of New York’s most memorable experiences remain entirely free.

This summer, Hudson Yards isn’t just a destination for shopping and architecture. Thanks to Bella Abzug Park’s expansive programming calendar, it may very well become Manhattan’s most vibrant outdoor stage.
