Jeezy performing on stage during the Legend of the Snowman Las Vegas residency with marquee lights, vintage car, and sold-out audience at Planet Hollywood.

The Jeezy Las Vegas Residency is proving that some legends do not simply return. They arrive bigger, louder, and more commanding than ever.

When Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins stepped onto the stage at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the opening weekend of his highly anticipated “Legend of the Snowman” residency, the atmosphere felt less like a concert and more like a coronation. Las Vegas wasn’t merely welcoming back one of hip-hop’s most influential voices. It was celebrating the return of an artist who has consistently transformed adversity into achievement and music into cultural impact.

Following the complete sellout of his first Las Vegas residency in 2025, anticipation for the new production reached a fever pitch long before opening night. Demand was so strong that organizers expanded the original schedule by adding 11 additional performances.

The result was two unforgettable evenings packed with energy, nostalgia, and spectacle.

For fans, the highlight was hearing Jeezy’s extensive catalog come to life through a production unlike anything he has previously presented. “Legend of the Snowman” introduces the rapper’s most ambitious stage design to date, combining cinematic visuals, sophisticated lighting, and larger-than-life Las Vegas production elements that elevated every song into an immersive experience.

The surprises kept coming.

Opening weekend featured appearances from some of hip-hop’s biggest names. Compton superstar YG ignited the crowd with a performance of the chart-topping anthem “My N*gga,” while Grammy Award-winning rapper and entrepreneur 2 Chainz brought the house to its feet with a high-energy rendition of “Super Freak.”

Adding another layer of musical excellence was the return of the acclaimed Color of Noize Orchestra. Conducted by renowned composer Derrick Hodge and directed by Adam Blackstone, the orchestra delivered rich arrangements that transformed Jeezy’s signature sound into something grand enough for the Las Vegas stage while preserving the authenticity that made his music resonate with millions.

The audience itself reflected the show’s cultural significance.

Among those spotted throughout the weekend were future NFL Hall of Famer Marshawn Lynch, former NBA stars DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall, ABC News anchor Rocsi Diaz, actress and bestselling author Tabitha Brown, comedian Kev On Stage, DJ Drama, DJ Ace, and numerous other entertainment and sports figures.

Yet despite the celebrity-filled crowd, the focus remained firmly on Jeezy.

“This wasn’t an opening weekend, this was a welcome home party,” Jenkins said after the performances. “Las Vegas, we home.”

That sentiment echoed throughout the venue.

Part of the visual impact came from Jeezy’s impeccable style choices. Across both nights, he appeared in striking black Amiri tuxedos that matched the production’s sophisticated tone. On the second evening, an embellished rhinestone-accented ensemble caught the stage lights with every movement, creating what could only be described as a tuxedo with a light chance of snow.

The success of opening weekend signals something larger than a residency. It represents another chapter in the remarkable evolution of a Grammy-nominated artist, New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, and cultural icon who has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

Fresh off a nationally sold-out 20th anniversary tour celebrating “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101” and holding a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest Orchestra for a Hip-Hop Music Concert, Jeezy continues to expand the boundaries of what a hip-hop performance can be.

With more surprise guests expected and strong ticket demand continuing throughout the summer, the Jeezy Las Vegas Residency has quickly established itself as one of the city’s must-see entertainment experiences.

Las Vegas may offer countless shows, but right now, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: the Snowman is running the Strip.
