The Chi-Lites, Heatwave, The Stylistics and more featured on I Love Oldies concert flyer for Pershing Square Los Angeles

The Chi-Lites Heatwave The Stylistics free concert is bringing a full day of classic soul, oldies, R&B, and feel-good music to downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, July 11. Pershing Square will turn into a giant outdoor jukebox as music lovers gather for an “I Love Oldies” celebration filled with legendary voices, timeless harmonies, and the kind of songs that make strangers sing together like family. The event runs from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is free with RSVP.

There is something special about an oldies concert in the summer. The music does not just play. It travels. It brings back cookouts, first dances, car rides with the windows down, and those records our parents and grandparents played until every lyric became part of the furniture of our lives.

This lineup is stacked with soul royalty. Guests can expect performances from The Chi-Lites, Heatwave, The Stylistics, Joe Bataan, The Delfonics, Little Willie G & The Midnighters, Eddie Holman, MKY, and more. That is not just a concert bill. That is a living playlist of love songs, slow jams, dance-floor memories, and classic radio gold.

Pershing Square is the perfect setting for this kind of day. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the downtown park has the city energy, the open-air feel, and the big summer backdrop to hold a crowd ready to celebrate. The event is listed for guests 21 and over, with valid ID required. There will also be bars, food trucks, and art vendors on site, giving the day a festival feel from the first note to the final encore.

While the concert is free with RSVP, guests should plan ahead. Entry is first come, first served, and the venue has limited capacity. Once the space is full, entry may be denied. For anyone who wants to be closer to the stage, VIP tickets are available and include pit access near the front stage area.

The beauty of The Chi-Lites Heatwave The Stylistics free concert is that it celebrates more than music. It celebrates memory. It celebrates the aunties who know every harmony, the couples who still have “their song,” and the younger fans discovering that classic soul never expired. It simply got better dressed with time.

Oldies music has always carried a special kind of emotional power. The melodies are smooth. The lyrics are direct. The performances are full of feeling. These are songs made before everything had to move at scroll speed. They invite you to slow down, sway a little, and let the heart do the remembering.

For Los Angeles, this is a beautiful way to spend a Saturday. Bring your people. Wear something comfortable. Come ready to sing, dance, eat, laugh, and let downtown LA glow in vintage harmony.

The Chi-Lites Heatwave The Stylistics free concert at Pershing Square is more than a free event. It is a love letter to the music that raised us, healed us, and kept us moving.
