The Hamptons summer social calendar is filled with glamorous gatherings, but the ACE Programs Sunflower Benefit offers something especially meaningful: an opportunity to enjoy the season while helping New Yorkers build stronger, more independent futures.

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, ACE Programs for the Homeless will return to Whitefield in Southampton for its annual Sunflower Benefit. This year’s event will honor Henry Buhl while raising critical support for individuals overcoming homelessness, incarceration and addiction.

Pickleball With a Purpose

The day begins with a spirited Hamptons pickleball tournament that brings friendly competition to the court for an important cause. Players and supporters will serve, volley and rally knowing that every point contributes to programs designed to create pathways toward employment and long-term economic stability.

Pickleball may be the opening act, but the heart of the event is ACE’s enduring commitment to New Yorkers working to rebuild their lives.

ACE provides job training, paid work experience and comprehensive support to people who have experienced homelessness, incarceration or addiction. More than simply helping someone secure a job, the organization offers a lifetime support network that encourages participants to set goals, overcome barriers and establish lasting economic independence.

An Evening of Celebration and Impact

Following the tournament, guests will gather at Whitefield for an elegant evening of cocktails, dinner and live music from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Southampton setting provides a beautiful backdrop for philanthropists, athletes, business leaders and community supporters to connect. Yet beneath the polished summer atmosphere is a mission rooted in dignity, opportunity and second chances.

Throughout the evening, guests will learn more about the progress ACE participants continue to make through employment, workforce development and supportive community connections. Honoring Henry Buhl also adds a personal dimension to the benefit, celebrating an individual whose name remains closely connected to the organization’s work and legacy.

The sunflower is a fitting symbol for the occasion. It turns toward the light, grows through difficult conditions and stands tall once it takes root. ACE participants demonstrate that same resilience as they move forward with the tools, experience and encouragement needed to transform their lives.
