Wind Creek Hospitality has crowned a new casino champion after its cross-property “Winner Takes All” promotion ended with a high-energy championship event at Wind Creek Chicago Southland.
The tournament brought together finalists from across Wind Creek’s gaming portfolio for a VIP Guest experience and a shot at a life-changing prize. After qualifying through slot tournaments at their home properties, competitors advanced through quarterfinal and semifinal rounds before earning their place in the final championship event in Chicago.
The finale took place on June 13, featuring a series of timed slot tournament rounds that narrowed the field until one winner remained. At the end of the competition, Aaron Nelson of Wind Creek Atmore was crowned the “Winner Takes All” champion, claiming a $1,000,000 prize in the final round.
Nelson’s win also earned him the opportunity to compete for the promotion’s ultimate grand prize of up to $11,888,888, adding another layer of anticipation to an already dramatic tournament experience.
The final event was not only about the top prize. Wind Creek Hospitality awarded more than $200,000 in additional cash and prizes during the finale, including a $100,000 second-place prize. A separate drawing also featured a $50,000 prize pool, with a $25,000 top prize and multiple $1,000 prize winners.
Beyond the competition floor, finalists were treated to curated Wind Creek Rewards experiences designed to showcase Chicago’s culture, dining, and hospitality. Guests enjoyed a Chicago River architectural boat cruise, a guided Chinatown culinary tasting tour, and a welcome reception with food and beverage service. Travel and accommodations were provided by Wind Creek Hospitality as part of the finalist experience.
