Charity Golf Classic for the Ann Liguori FoundationTaking place at the prestigious Maidstone Club in support of Cancer Research and Care
The 24th Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic will be hosted by sports broadcaster and award-winning Talk Show host Ann Liguori at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, NY on Thursday, September 22, 2022. In addition to the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and East End Hospice, the annual charity outing benefits not-for-profit organizations involved in cancer research and care.
Jane Street Capital’s Dan Pontecorvo is the 2022 ALF Business Honoree, and RUSH’s Alex Lifeson will receive the 2022 ALF Music Honoree Award at that evening’s Awards Dinner.
The event is sponsored by ABM, STRUCTURE TONE, PLATINUM, and Tommy & Shounda Foster. A number of companies and organizations contributed to the charity tournament, including Dooney & Bourke, Dune Jewelry and the Hamptons Rope Collection, Dune Apparel, Eye King, FRENCH POOL TOY Wine, Golf in a Box, Hotel Indigo EAST END, Hubert Prive Golf Sculptures, IBKUL Athleisure Apparel, Linda Hartough, Hidden Links, North & West Coast Links Golf Ireland, No Sweat, PEAKVISION Sunglasses, SwingLube, TaylorMade, and Tour Edge all contributed to the charity tournament.
“This is a disease we are all too familiar with,” says Liguori. “We are all directly or indirectly affected by this dreadful disease and anything we can do to fight cancer has been a mission of mine for decades since our family lost my Dad to cancer in 1981. We also lost my brother to leukemia when he was 22. My sister Jean, brother Dan and I are committed to this cause forever.”

The broadcaster is also the first woman to host a call-in sports show on WFAN-NY from April to September, Sunday mornings, 7-8 AM. For 24 years, WFAN aired the weekly talk show ‘Hey Liguori, What’s the Story?’. In addition, Ann was the first woman to host a prime-time show on The Golf Channel. She interviewed the top sports legends weekly on her ‘Sports Innerview’ cable show for 17 years. It can be heard on WLIW on Saturday mornings during the ‘Sports Interview’ show.
The MET Golf Writers National Awards Dinner recently honored Ann with the Winnie Palmer Award, previously presented to Barbara Nicklaus, Nancy Lopez, Tom Watson, Ernie Els, and Gary Player.
The Hamptons Rope Collection by DUNE JEWELRY was developed in collaboration with Ann, the Global Ambassador for IBKUL’s Athleisure line.
