Books had their red-carpet moment in Hollywood as the 2026 Booktique Awards brought the Booktique Awards Party to the legendary Chateau Marmont Hollywood. The evening celebrated the beauty, storytelling, and design power of coffee table books, honoring standout works across art, fashion, interiors, music, travel, nature, and more.
Cohosted by Kevin Kwan, Brigette Romanek, and Sarah Meyer Michaelson, the event gave illustrated nonfiction the glamorous treatment it deserves. Seventeen books from leading publishers were named Booktique Award Winners, with each title displayed beneath its own spotlight. Even better, every winning book was paired with a custom floral arrangement inspired by its cover. That is the kind of detail that makes a book lover’s heart turn pages on its own.
More than 100 guests gathered at Chateau Marmont Hollywood for cocktails, conversation, and a live piano performance. Guests also voted for the 2026 Book of the Night Award, which was scheduled to be announced on June 18, 2026. Before leaving, attendees received an artfully scented candle from DS & Durga, a lovely finishing touch for an evening built around beauty, creativity, and atmosphere.
The guest list brought together a glittering mix of actors, designers, artists, writers, and tastemakers. Notable attendees included Molly Shannon, Ali Larter, Ever Carradine, Joe Zee, Cornelia Guest, Tim Street-Porter, Barbara Bestor, Mayer Rus, Karon Davis, Carlos Eric Lopez, Michael Slenske, Shaun Regen, Nyakio Grieco, Michael Preysman, Ian La Frenais, and Dario Casali.
Booktique founder Elizabeth Yarborough captured the spirit of the evening perfectly. She shared that these books deserve more than a prime spot on a coffee table. They deserve their own dazzling annual award. That sentiment is exactly why the 2026 Booktique Awards felt so refreshing. In a world of quick scrolls and disappearing posts, the event paused to celebrate books that are meant to be touched, displayed, revisited, and lived with.
The 2026 Booktique Award Winners included David Hockney in Art, Inside Palm Springs in Architecture, Extraordinary Pools in Design, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style in Fashion History, Pamela Hanson: The ’90s in Fashion Photography, and The Art of the SNL Portrait in Film & Television.
Other honored titles included The Contemporary Garden, City of Angels: A Book About L.A. Style, AD At Home: Architectural Digest, Ferrari, Musik: The 1960s Photographs, Wild Ocean, America the Abandoned, In the Land of Fire and Ice: Horses of Iceland, Elliott Erwitt: Last Laughs, The Skateboard Life, and Paris by Paris.
Established in Los Angeles in 2022, the Booktique Awards spotlight today’s best illustrated nonfiction, especially the visually rich coffee table books that bring art, culture, history, and imagination into our homes. The awards are invitation-only, with honorees selected from the previous calendar year and judged by industry professionals and tastemakers.
The 2026 Booktique Awards proved that books can still command a room. The Booktique Awards Party gave publishing its own Hollywood glow, and the 2026 Booktique Awards will return for its fifth annual edition in 2027.
