For one weekend, the 00pium takeover will spread across the entire L.A. LIVE campus, pairing immersive experiences and exclusive collaborations with two nights of arena performances. It is an ambitious Opium collective showcase built for an event that has spent a decade dissolving the borders between music, fashion, art, food and commerce.
Playboi Carti Brings 00pium to Los Angeles
Saturday, October 3, belongs to Ken Carson ComplexCon, with Carson headlining an evening that also features ApolloRed1 and HXG. The Ken Carson festival set continues the Atlanta artist’s rapid ascent following the chart-topping success of More Chaos and growing anticipation surrounding his next project, the xperiment.
On Sunday, October 4, Playboi Carti ComplexCon closes the anniversary celebration with F1lthy and Destroy Lonely. Carti’s performance will be the thunderclap at the end of a weekend shaped partly by his own imagination.
The Playboi Carti ComplexCon appearance extends beyond the stage. For the first time, Carti will serve as one of the festival’s artistic directors, joining Japanese streetwear architect Hiroshi Fujiwara and Fragment Design. Together, they will influence the event’s products, programming and experiential design.
Carti’s appointment feels particularly suited to ComplexCon 2026. His work exists in the same electric corridor that the festival occupies, where sound becomes style, clothing becomes visual language and a concert can resemble a living fashion editorial.
Fujiwara brings another dimension to that equation. Widely regarded as a foundational figure in global streetwear, he helped establish Tokyo’s Ura-Harajuku movement and has influenced generations of designers through Fragment Design, music and landmark sneaker collaborations.
A Two-Night Celebration at Crypto.com Arena
The second Ken Carson ComplexCon appearance in as many festival cycles places the artist at the center of Saturday’s arena program. Meanwhile, the 00pium takeover gives the collective room to create something larger than a sequence of individual performances. The entire weekend is being presented as a unified world of music, fashion and audience participation.
That structure makes the gathering more than another Los Angeles music festival. While concerts anchor both evenings, daytime programming at the Los Angeles Convention Center will feature more than 300 participating brands, limited-edition products, restaurants, creator appearances and immersive installations.
ComplexCon(versations), the festival’s live discussion series, will also return with panels examining the personalities and ideas moving contemporary culture. Additional details about speakers, brand activations, collaborations and programming are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
ComplexCon Celebrates a Decade of Cultural Influence
Since launching in 2016, ComplexCon has developed into a real-time cultural marketplace where established companies share space with labels and creators still manufacturing their first sparks. Its recent international growth, including ComplexCon Hong Kong, has strengthened its position as a global gathering point for convergence culture.
The 2026 edition returns that expanding universe to Los Angeles. As a Los Angeles music festival and convention operating simultaneously, it gives visitors access to concerts, conversations, fashion drops, food and creative experimentation without asking any one discipline to remain politely in its lane.
