A Golden Age of Magic Comes to Life at Sea
Princess Cruises brings the Magic Castle to sea with Star Princess Spellbound by Magic Castle. Guests can enjoy a golden age of magic tribute, immersive themed spaces, cocktails with a twist, and live illusions for $45 per person.
When the Star Princess Spellbound by Magic Castle experience launches, Princess Cruises will officially bring Hollywood’s most enchanting speakeasy to the open seas. The evolved entertainment concept builds on its debut aboard the Sun Princess, delivering guests a dazzling blend of illusion, theater, and cocktail craft that pays homage to magic’s golden age.
Honoring Cardini’s Legacy
The reimagined Spellbound aboard Star Princess celebrates the life of Richard Valentine Pitchford, aka Cardini — the iconic magician who captivated audiences with elegant sleight-of-hand. His legacy now echoes at sea through his great-nephew, Randy Pitchford, owner of The Magic Castle®, who helped shape this latest iteration.
Spaces of Enchantment
Every corner of Spellbound heightens the sense of wonder:
- The Inner Circle – a mysterious lounge for mingling and surprises.
- The Cardini Bar – where handcrafted cocktails double as illusions.
- The Backstage – a hidden nook behind the curtain.
- The Peacock Theater – intimate performances where magic comes alive.
Eclectic décor, moody lighting, and theatrical detail transform each space into an immersive story in motion.
Cocktails with a Twist
At the heart of the Star Princess Spellbound by Magic Castle is the Cardini Bar, offering a cocktail menu exclusive to this venue. Highlights include The Inner Circle (a milk-washed Meili vodka cocktail with jasmine tea notes) and The Cardini, a butter-washed rum Old Fashioned. Every sip feels like an illusion in a glass.
Showtimes & Access
Admission is $45 per guest and includes two signature cocktails plus a live magic performance. Multiple nightly showtimes make this experience accessible to all guests onboard. Unlike earlier versions, dinner service is no longer paired — guests are encouraged to dine two hours prior to ensure an uninterrupted evening of magic.
The Stage: Star Princess
Currently being completed in Italy, the 177,800-ton, 4,300-guest Star Princess will debut with 30 dining and bar venues, over 1,500 balcony staterooms, and standout spaces like The Dome, The Princess Arena, and The Piazza. The ship’s inaugural season features Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska itineraries.
