From a limited-edition Apricot Lager to live football and a Kid Zone, every pint poured supports pediatric cancer research.
Urban South Brewery is raising a glass for a cause with the return of its 2nd Annual Tailgate Fest on Saturday, September 20, starting at 11 a.m. The New Orleans block-party-style festival, held in partnership with Manning Family Children’s, will benefit the hospital’s nationally ranked Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, advancing pediatric cancer research.
College Football Meets Craft Beer
Guests can count on wall-to-wall football action with giant screen showings of some of the season’s most anticipated games:
- Tulane vs. Ole Miss at 2:30 p.m.
- Ragin’ Cajuns vs. Eastern MI at 2:30 p.m.
- LSU vs. Southeastern University at 6:45 p.m.
Urban South will also debut a limited-edition Apricot Lager, available only in the taproom. Sales of the beer will directly support pediatric cancer research at Manning Family Children’s.
Family-Friendly Fun All Day
Tailgate Fest isn’t just for football and beer lovers—it’s built for the whole family. The Kid Zone presented by Bounce World will include bounce houses, games, and activities for kids. A silent auction launches on Tuesday, September 16, with prizes such as local artwork, football tickets, and Hogs for the Cause passes.
Attendees can also take part in the Paradise Park Challenge, a custom game where players throw footballs through a giant can of Paradise Park to win free beer for a year. Plus, live performances from the Tiger Ragtag Marching Band and a lineup of local food trucks will keep the energy high all day long.
