MGM Resorts International and its technology partner Playtech are once again raising the stakes on digital gaming entertainment, announcing the global expansion of their “Live from Vegas” platform with the launch of Family Feud. Streamed live and in real time straight from a transparent studio on the MGM Grand casino floor, this is the first interactive game show of its kind to broadcast directly from Las Vegas to regulated markets worldwide.
For those who know the Strip, the idea of walking past the MGM Grand and seeing a glass studio buzzing with lights, hosts, and contestants playing one of TV’s most iconic games is a new chapter in the marriage between entertainment and technology. Blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and now Family Feud—Vegas isn’t just a place you visit anymore, it’s an experience you can tap into from thousands of miles away.
Gary Fritz, President of MGM Resorts International Interactive, framed it as part of the company’s mission to remain the global leader in gaming entertainment. “We’re bringing the iconic Las Vegas experience to people around the globe,” he said. And make no mistake, that strategy is about more than spectacle—it’s about redefining how fans interact with live content and how operators in regulated markets can connect with players.
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer echoed that ambition, pointing to the rollout of a full suite of streaming content designed to “redefine live gaming entertainment.” For him, this isn’t just an add-on to the casino floor; it’s a new category, built on compliance and player protection, while keeping the fun and authenticity of a Vegas night intact.
And then there’s Fremantle, the creative engine behind Family Feud, ensuring the game show translates seamlessly into this digital-live hybrid. COO Suzanne Lopez emphasized that this isn’t a watered-down version—it’s powered by actual survey questions from the franchise, wrapped in all the humor, tension, and charm that fans expect.
Since debuting in 1976, Family Feud has thrived on audience energy, and now it’s finding a second life where the table is set not in a TV studio, but on the world’s most famous casino floor. This collaboration between MGM, Playtech, and Fremantle represents not just another milestone for Vegas, but a bold experiment in what happens when entertainment, gaming, and technology collide.
With more innovations planned, the “Live from Vegas” suite looks to be the start of a global entertainment network—one where the bright lights of the Strip shine far beyond Nevada.
