The festival kicks off on Friday, July 19th, at the Southampton Arts Center, featuring a mix of art, culinary experiences, and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy a culinary tasting by the Black Culinary Expo with chefs Sandy Pierre and Ronica Copes, and a sipping experience hosted by New England Sweetwater, a family-owned distillery. The evening concludes with the ‘Art After Dark’ party in the sculpture garden.

Saturday, July 20th, starts with a private guided tour of Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio led by Jeremy Dennis, offering insights into the history and culture of the Native American Shinnecock Tribe. The day continues with an ‘Art Walk’ through Southampton, beginning at SAAM, where artist Alvin Clayton’s latest collection premieres. “This partnership has been instrumental in engaging visitors with the rich history of BIPOC contributions to art and culture,” says SAAM founder Brenda Simmons.

The walk continues to the Southampton Arts Center’s ‘Beyond The Streets: Post Graffiti’ exhibition and concludes at Hidden Gem NY, a boutique owned by sisters Tanya Willock and Temidra Willock-Morsch. The festival wraps up with a private brunch co-hosted by Brown Skin Brunchin‘, and an opening reception at SAAM featuring live music, soul food, Caribbean bites, and a screening of ‘CROWN’, a short film celebrating Black hair.
